Dr. Park serves as associate professor of biblical counseling in the Jack D. Terry School of Educational Ministries. She has taught counseling and women’s courses at various Christian colleges and seminaries since 2011. Her ministry experience includes serving as a staff counselor at a ministry that cares for young moms. Additionally, she has served as a church staff member, teaching women’s Bible studies and training church members in biblical counseling.

Dr. Park’s research interests include theological anthropology, marriage and family, abuse, and cross-cultural competencies. Dr. Park is the author of “Biblical Counseling, the Church, and the Academy” in Biblical Counseling and the Church (Zondervan, 2015), “Speaking the Truth in Love” in Scripture and Counseling (Zondervan, 2014), and “Family Ministry, The Priority or A Priority” in Trained in the Fear of God (Kregel Academic, 2011). She has also contributed book reviews and short articles to The Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry. Previously, she has served as the book review editor for The Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry. Dr. Park has been a member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors since 2007 and serves as a council member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition. She is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and regularly attends and presents at the national conference.

Dr. Park’s desire is to help students think critically about life experiences and struggles from a Christ-centered perspective that is based on the authority of Scripture with the aim of loving God and loving others.
