Dr. Massey serves as the dean of the Roy Fish School of Evangelism and Missions, associate professor of missions, and Charles F. Stanley Chair for the Advancement of Global Christianity. Prior to his service at Southwestern through his appointment with the International Missions Board, he taught and lectured at several seminaries in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Massey is a contributor and co-editor of Making Disciples of All Nations: A History of Southern Baptist Missions (Kregel, 2021). He is also co-author of the forthcoming work on Theology and the Global Church (B&H Academic, 2022). He has contributed to several works on missiology including Missiology: An Introduction to the Foundations, History, and Strategies of World Missions, 2nd Ed. (B&H Academic, 2015); and World Mission: Theology, Strategy, and Current Issues (Lexham, 2019). Additionally, he has contributed articles to various journals, including the Southwestern Journal of Theology.

Dr. Massey is married to his wife, Vanessa. Dr. Massey enjoys playing with his two German Shepherds, long walks outdoors, reading, and watching Mississippi State football.
