Doctoral Scholarships

Southwestern Research Doctoral Scholarship

  1. The Southwestern Research Doctoral Scholarship is available to all research doctoral (PhD) students who are active members of a Southern Baptist Church. Priority will be given to full-time students, studying on-campus, who have an established 3.75 GPA. Students will be considered following their submission of the Financial Aid application. Incoming students can apply upon acceptance for enrollment, and current students must apply annually during the Spring semester for the following academic year. The application for current students is open March 1 – July 1. This is a $2,520 scholarship that is broken into $1,260 for the Fall semester and $1,260 for the Spring semester.
  2. Although students in the Professional Doctoral Studies program (DMin and DEdMin) are not eligible for the Southwestern Research Doctoral Scholarship, these students should still apply for financial aid as they may be eligible for other types of scholarships.
